01
Why Local SEO matters more than ever
Most local searches happen with strong buying intent. When someone in Faisalabad, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi or Karachi searches for a service "near me," they are usually ready to contact a business within hours, not weeks. This makes Local SEO one of the highest-return channels available to a small or medium business, often outperforming paid ads on a cost-per-lead basis once it is set up correctly.
Google decides local rankings using three main factors: relevance (how well your business matches the search), distance (how close you are to the searcher), and prominence (how well known and trusted your business is online). Cresvi's Local SEO work focuses on the two factors you can actually influence: relevance and prominence.
A business that ignores Local SEO is often invisible on Google Maps even if its website ranks well elsewhere. The map pack, the top three local results shown above regular listings, gets a large share of local clicks, and missing from it means missing a large share of nearby customers.
02
Google Business Profile: the foundation
Your Google Business Profile is the single most important asset in Local SEO. Cresvi starts every Local SEO engagement by auditing and fully optimizing this profile: correct business categories, a complete and accurate service list, business hours, high-quality photos, and a clear, keyword-aware business description.
Beyond the basics, we use the profile's ongoing features, regular posts, updated photos, and prompt answers to the Q&A section, since Google treats an actively maintained profile as a sign of a real, trustworthy business. Profiles that are set up once and never touched again tend to lose ranking position over time to competitors who stay active.
For businesses with more than one location, each branch needs its own profile, its own set of photos, and its own local citation plan. Treating multiple locations as one generic listing is one of the most common mistakes we see when taking over a new client's Local SEO.
03
Citations and NAP consistency
A citation is any online mention of your business name, address and phone number, commonly called NAP. These appear on directories, industry listing sites, and local business databases. Google cross-checks these mentions to confirm your business is real and located where you say it is.
Inconsistent NAP information, an old address on one directory, a different phone number on another, quietly damages local rankings. Cresvi runs a full citation audit for every client, correcting existing listings and building new ones on relevant, high-quality directories rather than low-value spam sites that add no real benefit.
04
Reviews and reputation signals
Review count, review rating, and how recently reviews were left all factor into local rankings. Just as important is how a business responds to reviews, both positive and negative, since Google and customers both notice active, professional responses.
Cresvi sets up a simple review generation system for clients, usually a short follow-up message or link sent after a completed job or purchase, making it easy for happy customers to leave a review without friction. We also handle review responses on your behalf, following a tone that matches your brand.
05
Common Local SEO mistakes we fix
The most common issue we find with new clients is a neglected or incomplete Google Business Profile, missing categories, no recent photos, and unanswered reviews. The second most common is inconsistent NAP data spread across old directories from years ago.
Another frequent mistake is treating a multi-city business as a single location, which confuses both Google and customers about where the business actually operates. We also often find businesses with no location-specific content at all, meaning there is nothing on the website itself signaling relevance for a particular city or neighborhood. Fixing these issues, in this order, is usually what produces the fastest visible improvement in local rankings.
06
What results actually look like
For most clients, the first visible change is an improved position in the Google Maps 3-pack for their primary service and city, often within 6 to 10 weeks. Full local search visibility, ranking well for a broad set of related searches, typically takes 3 to 6 months depending on how competitive the industry and city are.
Cresvi reports on Local SEO using map pack rankings, Google Business Profile views, calls and direction requests generated from the profile, and overall local keyword position, so you can see the connection between the work being done and real customer activity.
